Fall in Moscow - The Fearless Foreigner
It is beautiful here this time of year! Most people imagine Russia as a dark, snowy, and dreary place. Perhaps that will be coming, but right now the fall colors are all around. I have heard that Moscow has one of the highest percentages of greenery, compared to other European cities. My neighborhood, Mitino, is very residential and green….now gold and green everywhere. This past weekend I discovered that the city center was full of pumpkin, squash and gourd displays. There was also a little market that was decorated for fall. There were tasty fall treats that I am familiar with like donuts, but there was also the classic Russian treat of Blinis with Nutella or fruit. Watch the video below that I took at the fall market. There was a group singing a few lines from popular English songs.
