From Moscow to Frankfurt – 12/16/17
It was indeed time for another trip and what better place is there than Germany at Christmastime?
I don’t know if I should be impressed with myself or the Moscow airport or maybe I should just be thankful. I got a much later start going to the airport than expected. For a 3:10pm flight I didn’t leave my apartment until about 1pm. Due to awful traffic I arrived at the airport at 2pm. Within 30 minutes I made it through the entry security, checked in for my flight, dropped off my bags, went through passport control as a Russian Diplomat (no time to wait in line so I asked if I could go to that line!), sailed through security, found my gate, bought some lunch, used the toilet and got in line for boarding.
From the cost of my taxi ride to my hotel I knew I was not in Moscow anymore. My ~50 minute taxi ride in Moscow cost ~$13 and my ~15 minute taxi ride in Frankfurt cost ~$45.
